Meet the nominees and the honorees and help us salute these women of courage and determination.
Rev James McLaughlin, MAC, LADC, CPAC, DABE, along with the President of Black United Fund of Texas, Mrs. Cleo Glenn Johnson-McLaughlin, BAC, CCDC, CADC, and DABE will discuss “Families Aiding In Total Healing-Solving Every Problem Together” (Faith Step).
Mothers play a unique role in their children’s lives and for many they are a significant influence throughout their lives. Motherhood is a special calling, you cannot imagine what she can endure and overcome. Tears are a way she expresses her grief, her doubts, her love, her suffering and her pride. Mothers are Special Women with “special gifts” who loves unconditionally and they are there when you need them.
In today’s world Mothers are faced with so many challenges and disappointments and are constantly being bombarded with everyone’s pain, but no one is their to listen to her, as to why Rev McLaughlin and his wife, Mrs. McLaughlin will discuss techniques and provide tools that can be used to help the family handle whatever they are facing. Mothers are ever looking for a place of solace so she can address the hustle and bustle of life, she is a woman who stands up against injustice and does not take no for an answer. This woman that God made to be special should be treated as such, as to why we have nominations from behind the walls that want their mothers saluted for being strong and standing by them through thick and thin.
(W.S.T.T.) ANNA’S House (AH) is a multi culture organization that offers structure and proper guidance to women who are lacking a constitution to make changes in their lives so they can become whole, productive citizens and be reunited with their children and family. Anna’s House is based on building, empowering, encouraging, and balancing the mind set to maintain the duties of an American citizen. We offer a job placement program, housing assistance; resume writing, computer training, and conferences on entrepreneurship, seminars on health and fitness programs, group therapy, financial management, and drug and alcohol counseling. We also help women who are mothers re-unite with their families and help to redesign their approach to parenting. Over the last five years they have reached approximately 2000 women and children helping them change the direction of their lives and their family members.
